Who Told You That You Weren’t Enough? Knowing Who You Are In Christ!
Table of Contents
Sis, Let Me Ask You Something Bold…
Who told you that you weren’t enough?
That you weren’t called?
That you weren’t worthy, capable, smart, beautiful, or spiritual enough?
Because it wasn’t God. Sis, it’s time to start knowing who you are in Christ.
He doesn’t speak in shame. He doesn’t label His daughters as “less than.”
And He sure doesn’t call you to hold back when He placed greatness inside your bones.
Let’s get real today.
Because it’s time to stop agreeing with lies—and start Understanding your worth and finding your identity in Christ.
The War on Identity Is Real
Since the garden, the enemy has tried to rewrite what God spoke over His children. Remember Genesis 3:11?
“Who told thee that thou wast naked?” (KJV)
It was the first confrontation with a stolen identity. And the tactic hasn’t changed.
From the moment you were born, the enemy’s been working overtime to convince you that you are the opposite of who God says you are.

He uses:
- Childhood wounds
- Comparison traps on social media
- Abandonment from people you trusted
- Legalistic religion without love
- Cultural confusion
- Past trauma
- Fear of rejection or failure
Why?
Because if he can keep you confused about your identity, he can keep you from walking in your authority.
But Sis—hear this:
You were not created to dim your light.
You were created to take ground, reclaim territory, and release Heaven’s voice on the earth.
And that all starts with knowing who you are in Christ.
Real Talk: A Moment From My Journal
There was a day I stared at a blank page, laptop open, full of “good ideas” but empty of confidence.
A whisper crept in, “You’re not as gifted as her. Why even try?”
I almost closed the screen. But the Holy Spirit interrupted:
“You’re not writing for applause. You’re writing because I called you.”
And just like that, tears came—and truth flooded in.
Friend, we don’t write, speak, create, or lead to be impressive.
We do it because we are sent. And part of that sending is built on knowing who you are in Christ.
What God Actually Says About You
Let’s silence the lies with some truth bombs straight from Heaven:
- You are chosen — Ephesians 1:4
- You are fearfully and wonderfully made — Psalm 139:14
- You are God’s workmanship — Ephesians 2:10
- You are seated in heavenly places — Ephesians 2:6
- You are forgiven — 1 John 1:9
- You are more than a conqueror — Romans 8:37
- You are a royal priesthood — 1 Peter 2:9
- You are loved, seen, and never abandoned — Deuteronomy 31:6

Girl, THAT’S who you are.
Not what culture says.
Not what your past says.
Not even what your feelings say.
All that matters is what’s true—and that truth is found in knowing who you are in Christ.
Identity Is the Foundation of Your Assignment
You can’t walk confidently in your calling if you’re constantly questioning your worth.
That’s why identity work isn’t fluff—it’s warfare.
When you know who you are:
- You stop apologizing for your voice
- You stop hiding in places God called you to lead
- You start creating from freedom, not fear
- You pray with boldness and live with peace
- You stop waiting for permission—and start walking in power
All of this becomes possible when you’re grounded in knowing who you are in Christ.
How to Reclaim Your Identity Daily
This isn’t a one-time revelation—it’s a daily decision.

Mirror Moment: Prophetic Journal Prompt
Take 5 minutes. Get still with the Lord. Ask Him:
“Father, what lie have I believed about my identity that You want to break today?”
Write it down. Then listen and receive His truth. Let Him rewrite the story.
You might hear:
- “You are not forgotten. I see you.”
- “You are more than what happened to you.”
- “You are My messenger, My daughter, My light-bearer.”
This is how knowing who you are in Christ becomes more than a phrase—it becomes your foundation.

Closing Thought
God didn’t make a mistake when He made you.
Your story, your personality, your voice—it was all on purpose.
You are not overlooked.
You are not “too late.”
You are not too broken.
You are called.
You are equipped.
You are His.
So the next time a lie tries to tell you otherwise…
Just smile and say, “Who told you that?”
Because your Father already settled it.
And when you live from a place of knowing who you are in Christ, the enemy has no foothold left.
